The Deep Democracy Institute is organizing a conference on leadership, change management , independence, and collaboration in Yalta on the Black Sea, October 18-21, 2012. The conference will convene leaders in community building, business, politics, religion, and academia from all over the world and especially from Central Asia, the Caucasus region, Belarus, Russia, and the Ukraine.
Those of us with the Deep Democracy Institute feel close to these regions and appreciate what they contribute to life on this planet and believe that the world can learn from them in terms of their rich cultural heritage and learn together with them how to enhance collaboration in our relationships.
The purpose of the conference is to further the development of a professional leadership and change management network in the Post-Soviet countries by:
- Sharing information on leadership and change management methodology
- Networking with others who share these interests
- Working together on complex issues in a facilitated open forum style group process
The conference will take place in Yalta on the Black Sea from October 18th-21st, 2012. The Deep Democracy Institute is the principle conference organizer and will facilitate the conference. We are working to build a planning team including everyone who is interested. We will hold an online discussion on topics, keynote speakers, and conference format soon. This group will also discuss the final list of countries we will conduct our outreach towards. We hope to convene a conference that will set an example of open and frank dialogues between regions who have diverse ethnic groups, economic potentials, lifestyles and cultures, religious affiliations, etc.
